IIT Mandi conducted one day outreach activity on May 12, 2018 for the school and college students on the occasion of 125th birth anniversary of eminent physicist Satyendra Nath Bose. Activity was aimed to motivate the young students of the Mandi district in Himachal Pradesh. Dr. Manoranjan Kumar and Dr. Thirupathaiah Setti. Dr. Manoranjan Kumar discussed about the 125th birth celebration of Prof S N Bose, and the SNBNCBS, which was followed by a documentary movie on the life of Prof S N Bose. The last talk of the activity was delivered by Prof Arghya Taraphder, who gave a simple introduction to Bose-Einstein Condensation The activity was attended by 80 school children from the Government Senior Secondary School at Mandi and the 6 teachers of the school.
