Interested candidates should send filled in application format (Click here to download) along with the requisite documents (as per the checklist of the application form; convert into single PDF Format in the order mentioned) by email addressed to postdocapply@bose.res.in on or before the last date of submission of application. Please mention "Application for PDRA Position - #Candidate Name#" in the subject line of the email.
The print out of the application form sent by email signed and dated by the applicant along with recent passport size photograph and self-attested photocopies of relevant certificates and other testimonials (as per the checklist of the application form) should be sent addressing to 'The Registrar, S. N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences, Block-JD, Sector-III, Salt Lake, Kolkata-700106' and please write 'Application for PDRA Position' at the top of the envelop. Applicant must bring all the original certificates and supporting documents at the time of selection process for the purpose of verification.
Candidates must also arrange for two recommendation letters to be directly sent (through email only) by the referrer to postdocapply@bose.res.in with a subject line saying "Recommendation letter for #Candidate Name#" strictly on or before the last date of submission of application.
List of shortlisted candidates for selection process will be informed by e-mail and/or hardcopy letter.

General Information

The appointment is purely temporary and contractual.
The appointed person shall have no claim of any subsequent appointment / absorption in the Centre.
The appointment of the applicant will be governed by the terms and conditions of the offer letter.
The qualification prescribed should have been obtained from recognised Universities / Institutions.
Relaxation in requirement of qualification and/or experience may be considered in case of exceptionally meritorious applicants with the prior approval of the Competent Authority.
The prescribed educational qualifications are the bare minimum and mere possession of same does not entitle candidates to be considered in each stage of the selection process. Where number of applications received in response to this advertisement is large, it may not be convenient or possible to interview all the candidates. Based on the recommendations of the Screening Committee, the Centre may restrict the number of candidates to be called for the interview to a reasonable limit after taking into consideration qualifications and experience over and above the minimum prescribed in the advertisement. Therefore, it will be in the interest of the candidates, to mention all the qualifications and experience in the relevant field at the time of applying.
No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing for the interview.
Canvassing in any form and / or bringing any influence, political, or otherwise, will be treated as a disqualification for the post applied for.
